The Prospecting, Metal Detecting Pastor from So. California
If you've clicked on this page, then you're probably wondering what in the world is a pastor doing prospecting and metal detecting. Well, let me tell you...they're just hobbies of mine. A way to relax and unwind in my spare time, even when I'm trodding through 100 degree desert heat.

My real love, however, is for the Lord Jesus Christ and the church that I pastor. We are, by name, called Missionary Baptists, also called Landmark Baptists. I guess most would call us fundamental, conservative Christians, both in the moral and doctrinal sense. I am married with three children, ages 11 through 15 and employed by a company in the natural skin care industry.

On this page I've decided to devote a little bit of space to introducing you not just to myself, but also to the Christian faith. You can exit this page at any time, but I'm hoping you'll stay for a bit and read what I've wrote. And if you have any questions feel free to email them to me. I'm always happy to answer the curious, the skeptical, the debater, and even the unbeliever who thinks he is adamant about remaining an unbeliever. I just ask that you keep your emails brief and to the point. Now, on to things spiritual...

Is There A God?

The simple answer to that question is, of course there is. What would make one think any different?

Well, the evolutionist would tell us that life is the result of random chance some millions or billions of years ago. But I seriously doubt their claims for the simple fact that life cannot randomly come about anymore than the pieces of a watch could accidentally merge to create a working timepiece. And just think how much more complex life itself is than a watch! No, logic and common sense demands that the existence of either requires an intelligent designer and creator. There is no other alternative. "But," they say, "we have the fossil evidence to prove it!" Oh really? I just happened to recently read about the discovery of ancient Peruvian "art rock," which depicts a Peruvian riding what is obviously a Triceratops. Another picture shows a Peruvian fighting an Allosaurus. So, it seems, that dinosaurs were not unfamiliar to these ancient people, and, in fact, they had domesticated at least one of their kind.

Which brings me to my point--the creation testifies of a Creator, just as the Bible claims: "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge." What the psalmist is simply saying is, look around you. Look around at this marvelous, wonderful and complex creation, for it speaks to the comforting fact that there is indeed a God who created it all.
